Into Fangorn v2 is now available

by on February 20, 2013

Taking into account feedback from players, and my own play experiences, I’ve released version 2 of my custom scenario, Into Fangorn. In my opinion, it is a better looking and better playing version.

Here’s the change list:

– Formatting now follows the correct template (italics, bold, etc.)

– The cards now include a custom icon for the scenario instead of the Passage through Mirkwood icon

– Frequency of shadow effects has been decreased

– Anger of the Forest and Ent Guardian have been modified to scale better depending on the number of players

– Quest Cards 3B and 5B have been modified to be more consistently challenging

– A few minor text tweaks on certain cards

– Updated to work with the newest version of the LOTR OCTGN plug-in

Just like last time, Into Fangorn v2 is available either in a printable version or as an OCTGN set.

I’m still getting that error during install

Which version of OCTGN and the lotr game are you using?

      • Redboots permalink

Downloaded the if2 files from this page today. Think the Octgn version is the latest but don’t see an actual version # anywhere.

      • TalesfromtheCards permalink

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I created these files with a slightly older version of the LOTR game file for OCTGN, so there may be an issue with the newer version, I’ll have to do some testing.

Hi! This “into fangorn” v2 files don’t work with the latest version octgn. Can you please update?

    • TalesfromtheCards permalink

Hi. Updating Into Fangorn is definitely on my to do list, and it will be automatically loaded into OCTGN when it is done. It shouldn’t take me too long to do when I get a bit of time, probably in the next couple of weeks.

Is there a good guide on how to add custom cards to OCTGN?

  5. Marc permalink

Hello just getting into LOTR LCG and I’m trying to play as much of it as possible. I’d really love to be able to try this custom scenario but the printable materials link is outdated can we get a fresh link.

    • TalesfromtheCards permalink

I updated the link. Let me know if there’s any issues with it!

  6. Gautam Sen permalink

Will there be a printer studio link for this?

    • TalesfromtheCards permalink

I honestly haven’t given this quest much love, as I’ve been preoccupied with other things since then, but I would love to get a new OCTGN version out and a printer studio version.

      • Gautam Sen permalink

Thats great! I think it looks great so would love it if someone could make a printer studio link!

  7. What is the approximate difficult level?

    • TalesfromtheCards permalink

It depends on how much of the card pool you have, but it’s on the more difficult side, maybe a 6 or 7.

  8. Raphael permalink

Could you reupload the printable version? It seems like it got deleted from dropbox. Thanks!
